We warmly welcome you. The sunshine awaits, and we are so looking forward to sharing this time of yoga and gentle movement with you. I'm Mags, Regina's colleague, and we will be working together for our upcoming retreat. So I thought I'd best tell you a little bit about what we will be doing in our programme.
Kundalini Yoga is often called the yoga of awareness. It works with the body, the breath, the mind, and the spirit all at the same time. Through simple sequences of movement called kriyas (actions or exercises), along with breathwork and meditation, the practice helps to awaken energy in the body and create a sense of aliveness, clarity, and vitality.
Kundalini Yoga can have a powerful effect on the nervous system and energetic body, while also building strength and stamina in a very accessible way. Every movement is intentional, but always adaptable. You can expect gentle spinal warm-ups, rhythmic arm movements, breathing practices, and a closing meditation that leaves you feeling calm, uplifted, and energised from within. Each morning we will greet the day with a Kundalini Yoga session designed to gently awakena nd energise us. Yin Yoga offers a slower, quieter, and deeply nourishing practice.
Postures are held for longer periods - usually three to five minutes - allowing the body to soften and release tension over time. Rather than focusing on muscles, Yin works with the deeper connective tissues of the body, helping to ease tightness and support the natural flow of energy. In Yin, the focus is on allowing rather than doing. You settle into a pose, breathe, and give the body permission to open at its own pace. Our evening sessions will be an invitation to slow down and turn inward - a time to become quiet, receptive, and still after the day. Guided meditation and Yoga Nidra (often called yogic sleep) may also be woven into these sessions to support deep rest and relaxation.
All levels, all bodies, all are welcome.
This retreat is truly for everyone - whether you are completely new to yoga, have an established practice, need modifications, or simply have a body that feels different from day to day. Come exactly as you are; bringing your whole self is more than enough.
If you would like to feel refreshed, clear, relaxed, and rejuvenated, join us in August for a five-day, four-night treat. The full brochure is here, at your fingertips. https://tr.ee/VpCtoK
